Answer» i shut my desktop down with the start ,turn off COMPUTER,shut down method on xp,shuts down normally but after 2 MINUTES or so it starts back up again.is it time to call in an exorsist ,or is it a common thing?this only started about 2 weeks ago,before that it ran smooth.It is not very rare and not very common either. About one PC in five may SHOW this behavior. Principal factor is age. Also, some certain programs may do this. The idea also applies to Linux, Windows and other OS also.Same ISSUE with my pc and found out that the power button is grounded ...try to check it out...maybe it will helps
