Solve : Computer refusing to connect to net?

Answer»

Hi guys.
When my wife finished what she was doing on her computer she shut it down as normal then when i started it up this morning for her it just wont connect.
It finds the drivers but no internet
She reinstalled at least 3 times but still nothing happens.
I changed the ethernet wire over and placed her wire in my computer and there was no issue.
As nothing there was happening i installed Windows 7 and the only problem i have with it is that it still refuses to connect.
I have read on other sites about removing some sort of card but this is the factory connected ethernet port which is part of the motherboard.

Please could someone help as we are hoping to sell both of our computers and hers looks nicer than MINE lol

The only thing i have done to her computer was install ram which was taken back out as i bought the wrong one - oops.

Thanks in advance Quote

Hi thanks for your reply.
Upon looking this morning it actually doesn't find the drivers i mentioned which was for the fast ethernet however they were present on XP (she is now on windows 7) which is what she reinstalled on those 3 occasions.

She typed in >> At Command Prompt, paste this:
ipconfig/all>c:\ipconfig_all.txt&notepad c:\ipconfig_all.txt&exit
Hit Enter.
but although the notepad came up, it came up blank.Quote
