i have a router called netgear.. and ever since like 2 weeks ago its been lagging a lot and iono why ><, the lag goes on and off.. sometimes it works perfectly and other times i feel like smashing my comp >.>.. iono if its the cable company or my comp.. well i dont think its my comp cuz.. well one i reformatted my computer a few days ago, and two my laptop, which uses a WIRELESS card, which is connected to the netgear, for internet access, also lags when my comp does ><

tracert is a PROGRAM that's run from a dos shell.
Try going to Start/Run & typing cmd and click OK.
If you get a black box up, type tracert then the name of the website where your computer lags.
For example tracert msn.com
This will display all the internet gateways your computer goes through to get to that site along with the times in milliseconds. Look for a bottleneck there.
It may throw some light on your problem.
Use Control + C to ESCAPE tracert.
