Solve : client computer connection to web? |
|
Answer» Networking two COMPUTERS.I am using NTL broadband always on connection through set top box which also delivers satalite channels.I have an ethernet connection straight to the motherboard and two network cards one in each computer and a cross over cable linking both cards. The green lights are lit on both cards. After running the network set up wizard on both computers I seem to have a connection but when I try to use the client computer to access the web I get the message can't find server.I have pinged both IP addresses from each computer and get a reply from both pc's.In the network window on the host pc I have two area connections one says local connection shared and the other says local connection 11.When i click on local connection 11 in the details window it says LAN connected. IP address 192.168.0.1 sub mask 255.255.255.0 Manually Configured. In the network window on the client pc it says local area connection 2 connected. In the detail window it says lan connected. IP address 192.168.0.23 subnet mask 255.255.255.0 Assigned by DHCP. |
