Answer» My nephew was useing my computer and seen him looking at *censored* pics that someone sent him. How can I check on this problem. I know their must be some kind of files they went to but not sure how to look for them. He is now grounded from this PC. what would these files be called. Thank you for any help you can give me DavidThat all depends. Normally, if you are using Internet Explorer to browse the net there will be a folder named 'Temporary Internet Files' in C:\Windows. It's there to store images so that, if you CLICK on the back button for instance, the site loads quicker because you don't need to load the images from the site - it just TAKES the ones on the hard drive.
However, you say it was 'sent' to him, so I'm assuming that it was by EMAIL or a chat client. Either WAY, have a look in their program files entries and you might get lucky.
Best get some parental controls, eh? A few of the AV companies do programs with that functionality (Norton has got one for starters...)Ddude58,
Do a search, in the search box type *.jpg, *.bmp, *.gif etc... do the 3 searches, picture format usually COME in those 3 extentions. The searched result will display the path to pic files and you can double on them t open.
Please take Corrosive's tip; add your nephew to the child and barr him from opening adult contents in the parental control if you are installing one of these AV with parental control function
