OK. I just bought a 'new to me' home built computer, about 2 yrs old.

CPU: Intel Pent 4 HT 3200 Mhz (16 X 200)

Mobo: Abit IC&-MAX3 ( on Crucial this runs at PC2700 & PC3200 with 4 Gig MAX Mb.

System Mem: 1536Mb. of PC3200 DDR SDRAM (400 Mhtz ?)

I've Downloaded EVEREST. to check a few things out. It says:

Under FSB Properties: Real Clock is 200Mhz Effective Clock is 800Mhz.
Under Memory Bus Properties: Real Clock 200Mhz Effective Clock 400Mhz.

Under Bus TYPE it says : Dual DDR SDRAM (NOT DDR2) ??

I just wanted an opinion as to whether all these NUMBERS seemed Normal. Since I was taking what I bought at face value, is there any other specs on Everest that are critical for me to look at. ? The machine is much more than I need , I'm not a gamer, I just thought it was a good deal for the price and would have some resale value later on.

So, if your computer offers you more than you need, why do you worry about those numbers? It's important for you to be happy with your computer. Numbers don't make me happy, for me it's important to see the problem solved at the right price. Have you pay too much?
My "2 cents" questions: usb ports work? Do you observe any glitch? The computer is noisy? Something you don't like and you want to change?
I don't 'worry' about the numbers, but I would like to know for sure that I GOT what I paid for. . . . and to know exactly what I have for eventual resale. It is very quiet, everything works fine, even both monitors are acting like they should. There is one thing I need to do if you are so inclined. I want to make Yahoo Mail my default mail browser. The instructions on-line from Yahoo simply do not work. They have a DOWNLOAD that doesn't DL.... and from previous experience, they don't repond to e-mails for at least a week. If you can be of help . . . .Thx.How much you paid is irrelevant if it runs well and serves your needs...as far as resale PC's are kinda like cars in that they drop in value by about 40% as soon as you drive them off the lot.

Be happy with your new machine i'm sure it'll treat you right if you treat it right.

As far as the Yahoo issue which browser are you running ? ?
