I am in the market for a new PC.
I'm a student and the PC is used mainly for micosoft word and to browse the internet, download and play music and youtube.
I've determined I need a hardrive of at least 100 gigs and RAM of 2-4.
I also WANT to try a Sony this time.

I was struck recently by what Best Buy offers, Blue Label LAPTOPS.
I definitly want my PC to be able to stream youtube and videos I play on to my tv.


The problem is, when I searched Best Buy, these laptops are very expensive. I hate the IDEA of paying more than I need to.
I wanted to know if any of you were familiar with what kind of laptop would be able to stream video to my TV and what other accessories or software I would need.

I mean, if I find a compatible PC on newegg, is it possible I can get it already configured to stream or am I going to have to go to a bestbuy and get the accessory seperately?
If so, would a place like BestBuy install the accessory for me even if I bought the PC on newegg, or is it very easy to get this set up?

Thanks.Well, for what you need really, you could get a netbook with an HDMI out, and an external hard disk, and you'd be set.

Netbooks have typically 250GB hard disks and 1GB of RAM, and Windows XP. You would get roughly 200GB of hard drive space to play with. If that's not enough, external 1GB hard disks are cheap, less than $100. To stream youtube videos to a TV, just buy a long HDMI cable.

I know what you think, netbooks are small screened, but they have awesome battery life, decent graphics for youtube, and simple to use. Let me know what you think. Price is GOOD too
