Answer» i cant get the computer to log on to my account on windows xp home. i dont normally even see the logon screen when i turn the computer on it just logs on its self and doesn't have a password. when i CLICK it to log on its starts to log on and makes the chime noise but it just logs RIGHT out again and never even get to see the background. I dont know how this happened i DIDNT restart it when this happened it was on the screen saver and when i went to use the computer it was on the log on screen. I've tried restarting it and unpluging it still the same. i would really appreciate it if anyone would help me thanks How many other Users are on this machine ? ? You may have a corrupt Profile... please start your own topic , you may have a DIFFERENT set of problems and need more help , harry yea ive tried safe mode and its the same thing anyone have any ideas http://www.windowvistarepair.com/articles/User_Profile_Corrupt.htmlThat wouldn't work because i cant log in to any admin accounts in order to make a new one. but i tried it anyways and BOOTED in safe mode and in safe mode another account comes up and is named administrator but when i click on it does the same exact thing that my profile does. so is there any other way to get around that? Do you have an xp installation cd? no i don't, it came with it on the computer when i got it. if i reinstall windows will it fix the problem and if so where would i get one of the discs?Microsoft.....
