Im trying to root my samsung GALAXY epic touch 2 to mu asus laptop which has windows 8 and it WONT RECOGNIZE the usb or phone I have downloaded the drivers and took out the battery..still nothing...im going nuts !! any help is appreciated.

This should have been posted in the Android section. But it still does not exist.In order for the PC to recognise the Samsung you need to install the latest software for it...have you done this yet ? ?
You should have gotten a CD with the phone...if not it's a Free DLoad from the manuf. site.
