Solve : Cant connect DLink Router to internet?

I purchased a DLink router and CONNECTED it to my network, all the lights come on and are white except the internet light
which remains amber indicating no internet connection. I am on a fios network and my QUANTUM router connects, and works.
I have ethernet connection and i am replacing my Quantum router. I dont understand what i could be doing wrong, i have followed all instructions and still CANT get the internet light to turn white. I called DLink, wasnt helpful. Thank you for help in advance.More details please.

My not just keep the Quantum router

Do you mean FiOS from Frontier?
Is this a Fiber Optic cable?
If so you need to CONTACT frontier for information.
