Answer» please forgive me if i am not posting in the proper place, i am not experienced using forums. i did a search to find a posting i did a month or two ago. i wanted to follow up to let those who had a similar issue KNOW that i RESOLVED the problem. and let them know how i solved it. it could be that the posting was moved to a more appropriate place or it may have been removed in a clean up if that happens. i think i titled it "computer is CYCLING". i was trying to load xp home into a 120 gig SEAGATE hard drive. i ran a seagate diagnostic test and it said the drive was BAD. if i could find my original posting i would be happy to go there and tell anyone interested how i solved the problem. please adviseYour original post is >here<.
