Solve : Cannot Delete File? |

Answer» HELLO all, I've had a pesky file on my computer for a few days now in the form of a JPG image, that a friend sent me. Upon opening the picture in Windows Picture Preview (or something of that sort) there no image displayed. I figured it got messed up some how but when I dragged it to the trash can nothing happened. I tried selecting it and pressing delete, nothing. No error messages about access denied or anything, just wouldn't respond. I tried dragging it into a folder and then DELETING the folder, wouldn't go into the folder. I can't even change the name of the file. I seriously have no idea what to do. I've: *Dragged, dropped to trash can *Pressed "Delete" *Tried deleting through Command Prompt *Tried "unlocking" it (ending any programs it may be connected to) *Using Various delete file programs ANY help would be seriously appreciated, Thanks in advanceYou could always download and TRY unlocker. I right click and the only options are: Preview Edit Open With Send ToThat happens to me when I right click a file a temp. folder. Is that where the file is?Nope, the file is just sitting on my desktop.You said you can only preview, edit, print, open with and send when you right click. How did you try to rename it? What OS are you using? Can you see what the properties are? Have you RESTARTED the computer? Have you tried Safe Mode? |
