Solve : Cannot boot from CDROM?

Answer»

Hi I have a problem in this computer which was installed using recovery CD from Acer (which was supply). This Hdd earlier was running 98SE and having installed with the recovery CD -XP Home EDITION. The hard disk was only 20 GB. so I decided to fixed an OLD hard drive with old OS. ( xp home hdd. removed from computer) so I could reformat it with a new OS. (INTEND to installed XP Pro SP2.) When I reboot the XP CD seem cannot be run a pop up saying 'Windows could not start because of an error in the SOFTWARE. Pls. report this as: load needed DLLs for kernel'. I do not know what it mean by this message, I have set the 1st. boot to CDROM and still it did not work. Hoping to hear from you all for help. Thanks.Even though you have the bios set to boot from CD Rom first, when you boot from CD it may say... "press any key to bood from CD", and if you don't get that done quick enough it will BYPASS the CD.
