Solve : Can you turn a laptop computer on if the on/off switch is broken??

My Gateway LAPTOP has a broken on/off bottom. Is there any other way to turn the computer on? Please help.No.

You will need to SEND it in to get it repaired.

If it's under warranty, you can get it repaired for free.Although I'd suggest getting the laptop repaired. If you can see the spot to where the cable CONNECTING to the button is going on the interface / motherboard you could jumper it using a flat head screw driver and that would POWER it on. Basically COMPLETING the circuit is usually what the button does to turn the computer on/off.

Yeah, it's worth a shot, but I wouldn't recommend it if you have no experience opening up a laptop and such.
