|
Answer» Hi All: My dauther has a Biostar TF570 SLI, Phoenix CN57I-A2T bios, with 4gb mem, AMD CPU, GTX470 & a 750 Watt PSU. I went in to made sure all her settings were right because she said the system seems fritzzzzzy......... MSCONFIG shows for boot -Normal startup. I unchecked Apple IPOD from startup.........that was it..........rebooted & all it does is cycle though the Bios screen(Hardware) & will not load windows Vista. I can Get into the Bios set-up & all settings are the same when it had booted with no problems before. I've pulled the MoBo battery.......No luck. The MoBO is 4 years OLD & runs almost 24 hrs a DAY (not now!).......... Thanks in advance for your help.... If the motherboard was able to start up properly it would at least be able to see and attempt to boot the hard drive (and if it were the hard drive that was DEFECTIVE, you would get a message like "DISK BOOT FAILURE: INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER" or "No boot device available - strike F1 to retry boot, F2 for setup utility").Thanks for the reply Doug! I was kinda thinking in that direction............ She has an ACER disk, but the bios will not see the DVD dr either..........Funny but the Bios shows both in hardware I'm sure the Southbridge is toast............ I have an AsRock K10 that will run all her Hardware & CPU.............. Thanks for the Heads UP! |
