Solve : Can't access my site?

Answer»

[size=14]I have a LAN Connection through which i access internet ( that is my cable operator).

Now I also have a modem.

The PROBLEM is I cannot access my site anymore for last 3 days when I am accessing it through LAN.

Then i tried through modem and easily accessed the site.

So it is a problem in my LAN. Is it anything related to DNS settings? What's the problem?

I also learned that it can be for some malware present in my PC, for which I formatted my entire D: drive.

But still I cannot access my site through the LAN.

How to solve it ?

The following is my another ip, i.e. IP address which shows when i surf internet. (IS it the Proxy IP?? :-?)

202.90.105.46

But my actual IP address is 192.168.0.33 (given by my operator,or ISP )

Here I got some more information but cannot understand clearly:

202.90.105.46 is your WAN IP
192.168.0.33 is your LAN IP.

Can you make use of the Internet at all?I am AFRAID I don't.

Ok, Ok.

What is the difference between a Wan IP and a LAN IP ?A LAN IP is the adress assigned to you inside your network, often by a router or a modem with built-in router capabilities.

As soon as you pass the router and go on the Internet (Or modem) you no longer make use of the LAN IP, but start making use of your WAN IP. Many people have the same LAN IP's, but WAN IP's are unique.

Does that make sense?Description . . . . . . . . : Myson MTD80X Based Fast Ethernet Card

I belive i SEE your Problem, your Network appears to be Set to use Wins as the primary, and we cant see weather your DNS is set up or not because of this.

What i think you need to do is set up the DNS server you want to contact.

That would be your Gateway, which is 192.168.0.1

Open up your network connection Properties, Click on TCP/IP , Click Properties
Now you should See your Ip Address , Subnet Mask and DNS primary and Secondary Server Settings.
If you cant see DNS server Settings, goto Advanced.

Goto the DNS Tab, and Add a DNS Server, 192.168.0.1

Then Click all the ok Buttons. and Retry the internetQuote

Agreed, but if no changes have been made and this was working previously... Possibly the cable mode/router got scrambled? Do you have the original documents for installation?

This MAY work but only if the gateway router caches DNS queries (not all do).
