Answer» [size=14]I have a LAN Connection through which i access internet ( that is my cable operator). 202.90.105.46 202.90.105.46 is your WAN IP 192.168.0.33 is your LAN IP. Can you make use of the Internet at all?I am AFRAID I don't. Ok, Ok. What is the difference between a Wan IP and a LAN IP ?A LAN IP is the adress assigned to you inside your network, often by a router or a modem with built-in router capabilities. As soon as you pass the router and go on the Internet (Or modem) you no longer make use of the LAN IP, but start making use of your WAN IP. Many people have the same LAN IP's, but WAN IP's are unique. Does that make sense?Description . . . . . . . . : Myson MTD80X Based Fast Ethernet Card Physical Address. . . . . . : 00-A1-B0-09-85-01 DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . : No IP Address. . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.33 Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway . . . . . . : 192.168.0.1 Primary WINS Server . . . . : << Secondary WINS Server . . . : << Lease Obtained. . . . . . . : Lease Expires . . . . . . . : I belive i SEE your Problem, your Network appears to be Set to use Wins as the primary, and we cant see weather your DNS is set up or not because of this. What i think you need to do is set up the DNS server you want to contact. That would be your Gateway, which is 192.168.0.1 Open up your network connection Properties, Click on TCP/IP , Click Properties Now you should See your Ip Address , Subnet Mask and DNS primary and Secondary Server Settings. If you cant see DNS server Settings, goto Advanced. Goto the DNS Tab, and Add a DNS Server, 192.168.0.1 Then Click all the ok Buttons. and Retry the internetQuote What i think you need to do is set up the DNS server you want to contact.Agreed, but if no changes have been made and this was working previously... Possibly the cable mode/router got scrambled? Do you have the original documents for installation? Quote Goto the DNS Tab, and Add a DNS Server, 192.168.0.1This MAY work but only if the gateway router caches DNS queries (not all do). |
