Answer» Hello, So happy I found the forum maybe someone here can help
I have a web site, I made some changes to it and was able to see the changes while in the editor. However when I go to IE and type in the web sites address I get the old pages which by the way were DELETED yesterday from the server. I had my husband try we are connected to the INTERNET via a router and he get the same old deleted pages like me. I call all my friends and had them check they are all getting the new pages.
I called my web site server people and comcast both had me to the following which none of it worked.
We both my husbnad and I
Cleaned All Cookies and Offline Files Cleared History Reset the MODEM and router Bypassed the rounter Reset every BACK to the default settings in IE
My husband even tried all this on Firefox and still same old pages
I'm at a loss neither compnay Homestead nor Comcast has a clue and I sure don't.
They are now saying it must be our computers... LOL Funny how both our computers messed up at the very same moment.
If anyone know of anything that we can try it would greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance Nicole Back to top 1. You did save the changes, right? 2. Did you make sure the pages were uploaded to WHATEVER host you're using, or does it do that automatically? What address are you typing in your browsers to see these web pages?Quote 1. Yes the pages were saved and anyone else who visits the site see the published pages only the 2 computers in my home using same router and modem are unable to see the publisehd pagesNicolesNestingBox.... Have you tried manually entering the specific pages URL in your browser address box and see if you can get to it that way ? It's almost as if you made the changes and saved then and then uploaded ....but your pcs ...... haven't refreshed for some reason and the old pages are being pulled up from the cache files. Try deleting the cache files on one of your machines and then try to access again.
dl65 Could IE be set to work offline? IE>File>Work Offline <--- UntickIs this a double post?
FlameIt is, but apparently we've decided to use this one instead of the one in the... Windows forum, is it? Or the IE thread? Hmm...
