Today I HELPED make my friend a purchase of a brand NEW computer system. Its a Toshiba (PSKJWC-00G004). its a pretty well built system. Here are the specs:
Intel i5 3337U
8gb DDr3 RAm
750 GB hard drive
Nvidia GeForce GT 740M

The thing is i take this computer home for him and begin to set it up and whats this.. its laggy upon boot-up, jitters a little too. Out of an i5 CPU you'd think it'd be faster. i installed some basic software like firefox, malwarebytes, VLc but i notice its slower then my AMD athlon and it only has a 1mb CACHE. Can anyone assist me and tell me whats going on here?What system are you comparing this to?
The Toshiba isn't a BAD system, it won't be earth shatteringly fast with a dual core CPU but it shouldn't feel particularly sluggish.
