Solve : Boot WindowsXP problems!?

Answer»

A computer system starts over and over (WindowsXP professional), not recognize WindowsXP installation CD (after adding the CD-ROM like first bootable device), can not be started in any of F8 options (Safe Mode, Last Good Known Configuration and so on). As reason msg is shown: "Memory overflow error, please insert another disk"! (the CD is not the PROBLEM because the same CD is used to install WinXP in other PC). So, can MS-DOS startup disk be a solution? Formating C: using MS-DOS startup! If yes, the command "format C: /s"  is accepted like Bad command! Does anyone know's other way of formating C: and installing fresh copy of WindowsXP!Windows XP Professional starts over and over and is not recognising the Windows XP installation CD, after changing the CD-ROM to first bootable device.

Can an MS-DOS startup disk be used to format?
The command "format C: /s"  gives a bad command message.  Does anyone know other ways of formatting C: and installing fresh copy of Windows XP!

Format c: /s - is a Windows '98 command and should not be used for XP. Only the XP CD should be used to format an XP installation whether you choose to format to FAT32 or NTFS.

This sounds like a hardware problem.

Have you tried running a memory test on your RAM or re-seating the modules? How are the FANS? Is the processor getting enough cooling? Any loose wiring or connectors?
