Solve : Boot BIOS Fails to Display?

Answer»

:-[Recently in order of failures - Mouse, Printer and Sound did not work - corrupted drivers?. I reinstalled mouse driver and rebooted, it worked, but system continued to CORRUPT inspite of reinstalling drivers. Subsequent rebooting showed missing desktop icons and no screen saver (more corrupted drivers?).

Ultimately upon rebooting, boot BIOS did not display (blank screen), although I can hear power.

Does anyone know what could have happened and how to recover and FIX?

The machine is a self built Pentium Pro MMX, PC wherein all hardware is at LEAST 2+ years old. The chipset is Intel Natoma 440FX PCI. The OS is Dual boot Win95 & Win2000. Until the loss of boot BIOS display, I could SELECT Win95 and it had NO problems with the same hardware, so only the Win2000 drivers were corrupted? But what about the BIOS display???When you say 'bios display' do you mean bios display or bootloader display?Sounds like a boot loader issue, not BIOS. Let's all get our terms straight. What is it the computer does do?

Amen.Sorry about terminology. If Bootloader display is what is initially displayed, then I get no bootloader display (screen remains black).
Appreciate the replies! What did you used to see on the screen that you don't see now? Quote

BIOS / CMOS Setup - Configuration program. Which allows you to CONFIGURE hardware settings including system settings such as computer passwords, time, and date.
Bootloader display - where you choose what OS you want to boot
