Let us know so we may try to narrow it down. Please provide details as to anything that may have changed just prior to the Blue Screens of Death (BSODs).
Regards, Doc <--- Thinks, "Man, FED beat me to the post again!" But you gave a far more comprehensive reply. Have you started the new job yet?FED:
Amazing what a google of Microsoft will turn up!
Thanks for asking about the new job. I'll be starting full-time after the 4th of July.Probably need to test your RAM MODULE(s) as this can also happen during setup and is nearly always caused by faulty RAM, badly seated RAM or poor connections somewhere.

msoft say say this.....on memory dump>http://support.microsoft.com/kb/129845/EN-US/Alien:
Yep, it's possible for a bad stick of RAM to CAUSE your error. If you have ever worked inside your computer before, power it off, unplug it and remove all but one of the RAM sticks, then run the memory test again (not sure what software you are using, but Microsoft has a new memory test program available as a free download from their Web site).
If the test is negative, then swap out the good stick and swap in a different stick of RAM, then run the test again. Do this with each one till you get errors, then bring the damaged stick of RAM to a computer store and ask them to sell you a replacement of the exact type.
Words of caution:
- After you power down the PC, unplug the computer before you OPEN the case.
- Touch a metal part of the case before you touch any of the RAM sticks to lessen the chance of electorstatic discharge (ESD) damaging the them. Also, handle the sticks on the edges and take care not to touch the metal (gold pins, etc.).
- Place the RAM sticks on a sheet of paper or cardboard (not on a plastic bag or metal surface) to further protect against ESD damage.
Instructions on how to remove RAM memory modules are here:

Let us know if you need more help. DocThanks again very much!
I don't dare open the computer and touch myself. I think when he gets here next week he can open it and test things out.
Thanks for your help! How old is this pc.......and the make of it..This is a custom made computer.
Intel Pentium 4, 2.80ghz 512 Memory nVidia Graphics Card 128mb (I think) Hard drive 160 DVD-+RW Dual Layer
It is 9 months old.Take it back to the shop???or phone them up....and dont open the case.....its still under warrenty.....normally a year.........unless it was done privately......then still contact themhehe Merlin
It's custom made, built by my bf. He'll be here next week, and will reinstall windows xp all over again. Hopefully that fixes the problem, if it doesn't, I'll get ANOTHER memory stick. Now that memory stick should be under one year warranty? What do you think? It was bought through a well known online computer store.
