Solve : Best AV for low RAM PC? |

Answer» My SIL's old HP has only 512MB of RAM. MS says Essentials requires 1GB RAM. I am wondering if MS Essentials is too demanding for her PC? This morning I installed the free Avast 2015 on my old RIG (also Win7) and it definitely seems to run faster than MSE. Of course I have upgraded to 3GB of RAM and SIL is limited to 512MB. So far I LIKE Avast a lot. I can not judge its effectiveness as an AV, but the download was fast/easy and the user interface is slick. |
