(I think it's the CD Drive) Is this an original Battlefield CD, not a copy? What about Windows? Are they both genuine?yeah sorry cd drive, and yes genuine game not a copy it keeps coming up, The current version of the application could not be determined, the set up will now terminate. like i said i have deleted all the files i could find on battlefild 2142 but there must be something stopping me from reinstalling the game as the above message keeps coming up ? sorry for the hassle but i love my gaming and now i am going cold turkey for a battlefield fix lolWhen you install a game, you cannot simply remove all the program files. Even though you think you have removed all files from the game, you still have the registry. From the System Registry's point of view, the game is still installed. In fact, this just gave me an idea. Download and run CCleaner. In the Registry section in CCleaner, Click Scan for Issues a few times and then Fix Selected Issues. Repeat this one or two times. CCleaner will prompt you to back up the registry. I suggest you do.ive tried that a couple of times i will do it again as ive just downloaded the apdated version of ccleaner will get back here in a couple of minutes Still no joy that terminate message keeps coming up. i think i am doomedHmmmmm......ok lets get back to the root of the problem. Quote anyway something came on my screen the other day wanting me to write files to discAny idea what this was? Can you give us more INFORMATION on this?yeah it was jusy like when i went into the disc to explore it, it was the same think but it wanted me to write to a disc ?? so i just went and shut it down ie with the x , if that makes sensei have to go just now but i will be back in a couple of hours many thanks for your help so far well appreciatedAll right. The last thing I can suggest is a System Restore to a few days before this happened. If that doesn't do anything, maybe a System Restore to a few days before you install the game. |
