Hi, I've tried FINDING the answer to this problem but havn't had any luck as of yet so wondered if anyone can help.
My AVG won't open, work or uninstall as it says I don't have it on my computer, yet if I try to download it again or even ANOTHER antivirus program it says it is installed? Need to fix this asap as my computer basically has no virus protection. Thanks.Try the AVG Removal Tool from their site...then re-boot and DLoad/install the latest version...
If these steps won't work then you are infected and the malware is blocking your protection.Thanks for your help, I tried the remover before and it didn't work but it has seemed to work this time so all is fixed now!  Good news...

I've been experienced this problem a long time ago when I used an AVG antivirus. I send a message to the AVG customer support center and they give response immediately. They told me that there is a remove from their site for this problem. I reinstalled the AV completely.
