Solve : Automatic immediate log off HELP?

Answer»

Was going and deleting all viruses and stupidily DELETED a registry key and now when I log on my computer AUTOMATICALLY logs me back off, how can I fix this?  PLEASE HELP I`m an idiot. What operating system and service pack level?Nevermind 30 MINUTES after I posted Pizzaboy had the same problem so I'll try the suggestions from that thread.Ok I still need help cause I don't have my XP disc. I obviously have XP and how do you go to safe mode, I've tried the F8 method but I can't get it to work.Do you have Recovery CD?Nope, my only hope is probably to get into safe mode and see if I can fix something from there. What Registry key ? ?
Did you have a Registry backup program ?
The 6 floppy set DLoad from Microsoft will let you run the Recovery Console but WITHOUT a backup of the Registry it may not be sufficient enough to do the repairs you need.
I would try and find or borrow an XP CD.
It needs to match your version including all Service pPacks currently installed...

For safe mode tap F8 repeatedly upon startup before you see the Windows splash screen.I don't remember what key exactly but something about Windows NT was probably in the name if I recall correctly.  I've read sometimes if you have a USB hook up keyboard then you might not be ABLE to get into safe mode using F8. I've read sometimes if you have a USB hook up keyboard then you might not be able to get into safe mode using F8.

Use CMOS setup to enable "USB Legacy Mode" in the BIOS.  Or look for other USB options in the BIOS such as "USB Keyboard".  See Universal Serial Bus Devices Do Not Work in Safe Mode. Thanks for the help I was able to get into safe mode unfortunately it still automatically logged me back off, I guess I'm just screwed. If you know, can you share with us what "enabled" you to get into Safe Mode?I changed some stuff in the BIOS but I got an XP disc and when I go to recovery I need an administrator password and it doesn't seem to be the password I use. So I just pressed enter when it was blank and on the next line it said, C:/WINDOWS>.  What am I supposed to do? EDIT: When I type HELP it gives a list of things I can do but which one will help me fix/restore the registry key I deleted?    my PC log off automaticly i need help for it
