Was going and deleting all viruses and stupidily DELETED a registry key and now when I log on my computer AUTOMATICALLY logs me back off, how can I fix this?  PLEASE HELP I`m an idiot.What operating system and service pack level?Nevermind 30 MINUTES after I posted Pizzaboy had the same problem so I'll try the suggestions from that thread.Ok I still need help cause I don't have my XP disc. Did you have a Registry backup program ?
The 6 floppy set DLoad from Microsoft will let you run the Recovery Console but WITHOUT a backup of the Registry it may not be sufficient enough to do the repairs you need.
I would try and find or borrow an XP CD.
It needs to match your version including all Service pPacks currently installed...

For safe mode tap F8 repeatedly upon startup before you see the Windows splash screen.I don't remember what key exactly but something about Windows NT was probably in the name if I recall correctly.  I've read sometimes if you have a USB hook up keyboard then you might not be ABLE to get into safe mode using F8.
