Solve : authentic video card?? |
|
Answer» My pc broke down the other day so i had it repaired in a local pc shop. It turned out that my inno3d geforce fx5900 video card was the problem. I was desperate since i had a deadline the that same day so I immediately bought the video card recommended to me by the shopkeeper (sparkle geforce fx 5200). It was stated in the box that the hardware's features are: 256mb ddr, dvi-i, ty-out. when i checked the product in the net awhile ago, it clearly stated that the sparkle geforce fx 5200 is only 128mb. i needed my pc to finish my term paper the next day. i've had the fx5900 for 3 years before it breaking down. lol << your in the right place!!! welcome to "my" club! You could be looking at the wrong card. Try Everest Home Edition to see what the exact specifications of your videocard are or visit the manufacturers (Not Nvidia) their website. The DirectX Diagnostic Tool, i.e. dxdiag, that GX1_MAN mentioned will tell you how much memory is on that video card. Did you try that?Quote You shouldnt listen to shopkeepers, i guess. The FX 5200 sucks, and if u had the FX 5900 before it, ur going to be very sad.. unless u buy the X1950XT and end it. I thought we discussed refraining from telling PEOPLE looking for help that their equipment sucks... See Sig. patio. 8-) |
