Solve : Audio icon disappeared - no audio now ??? |

Answer» YESTERDAY my Dell Laptop with Vista HOME restarted itself after some MS updates and now I can't get audio to work with Skype, for example. The little speaker icon that was just beneath the battery icon is gone and I can't find how to restore it. I looked on Control Panel Sound but don't see anything amiss. Onboard music audio works. Help, please. I am not a guru.
