Answer» I've MADE this really cool screensaver USING 3ds max 7 , but i don't know how to apply it , help would be appreciated.
[glb]FireChaser[/glb]Screensavers live in the Windows\system32 directory. Put yours there as a *.scr file. Right click any blank spot on the desktop, choose properties, then the screensaver tab and you should be able to pick it from the list.
Hope this helps. That didn't work... umm... there are lots of folders in system32, could i have to save it in oe of those??? have i saved it wrong: i OPENED the file with windows media and resaved it as *.scr... should i save the 3ds max file(the program i used to make the animation) as *.scr? any answers would be appreciated
[glb]FireChaser[/glb]you could do this download desktop architect......and it will install your screensaver.......just point to the folder its in?? if you are planning to do more then that a program.....and it free.....I do not think you can just rename any file to .scr and have it function as a screensaver. You may need a converter.I was under the IMPRESSION that a standard screen saver had already been created not that it was in a proprietory format. If you have the option to save your file as a BMP, JPG, etc, you may find something helpful here:

Hope this helps. Who still uses a screensaver? My monitor shuts down. I ASSUMED that saves power?
