Apple has unveiled a new iPad with a high-definition screen.

It said the resolution of the display was 2,048 by 1,536 pixels. The tablet is also powered by a new A5X chip with improved graphics performance.

My limited exposure to them has me believing they are less functional than a laptop (i suppose this may change at least in the software side with Win . However i suspect they will still be lacking certain hardware accessibility that i would want. In this case i guess the gotta haves will be happy. truenorthI'm with you don't understand the desire either, but I guess if you were a traditional user who's just consuming media and surfing the web (which I think most people are) it would be attractive. What really baffles me is how Apple can get people to spend $500+ EVERY 12-months and how they can get so many people to desire their products so much that they're willing to purchase the product without even knowing the specs.

Also, why are they just calling it the new iPad. That would be a nightmare for support, customers calling in saying the have the iPad could mean the first gen iPad or now the third gen iPad. Guess they could rely off of model numbers, but still. There is a sea change. Peale want video that can take with them. The current technology makes it possible for about the same price you paid two years ago for something more ordinary.
