Solve : Animated Avatars?

Answer»

Friends send me "animated avatars" but when I "Save as Is" the SAVED AVATAR is not animated anymore upon usage to another WEBSITE or e-mail. Is there a problem regarding gif. and jpg.? Well, for starters, JPG images aren't animated.

Where are these friends sending you these pictures? In email? Some messenger service?

What method are you using to save them?Hi,

@Quaxo;
There are animated JPG images. Go to the below link:

Emory, you may be saving it in different way.
Open the Image in browser then right click on it.
Click on Save Image As then save it on your computer then see if you are able to save it with animation.

FAIL. That's an optical illusion, not an "animated JPG".

Thanks for the laugh though.They are sent to me via e-mail, which means I have no idea what extension they have. Also try to Save from websites.
I agree: that was allusion.
What email are you using, i.e. Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, OUTLOOK?The Jpeg link is an optical illusion as stated, but it is a good one

The files you should be saving are .gif format, which basically contain several static images that rotate round in ORDER to produce an animation.

Depending on your browser it may not allow you to right click and save the image in it's original format.

Saving the image to a .jpeg or any other format will cause it just to save the 1st or current image.
