Answer» Quote If this is any help, when I ran the check disk function it came up with various lines, as per the following:As Patio said, it was a disk error. (Back up all your important data in case it happens again!) Ok, for each line of text, I have a responce File record segment 20824.29 34067.55 Deleting index entries >>INDEXES of your files, probably, but not the Windows Search index Recovering lost files >>This is when it looked for the bits and PIECES of lost information and got them back together again (kind of complicated) Verifying security descriptors Verifying the data >>It checked the restored data Windows replaced bad cluster >>Windows looked at your disk, and marked all the bad clusters as bad. Only a program MADE to directly modify the disk (like a reformat tool) WOULD BYPASS this note. It would be certain data dammage if a file was placed here again |
