Answer» hi, i'm HOPING someone can help me. i had some problems with windows not booting up. so i USED the recovery console on the XP pro CD to reinstall windows. after the reinstall, available space on my 40GB hard drive is about 14 Gigs. Which should mean my information is still on there somewhere. Some of my programs show up in the Program Files folder but none of them show up under Programs in the Start menu. Is there any way i can restore my old account or at least my files and programs?
