Solve : add microphone to Creative sound card? |

Answer» I downloaded Skype and installed it OK. The Creative SB Live sound card has 4 jacks, 1 of which is the sound output, which works. I have a microphone which came with my other Dell COMPUTER, but want to USE it with this Dell XPS-T500. The problem is: 1. Which of the 3 remaining jacks to use 2. How do I test it to see if it is ACTUALLY working? RUNNING W2k with SP3, 128mb RAM. Thanks in advanceIf your plugs are color-coded, the microphone jack is typically colored red. If not, there might be a picture of a mic next to the jack. To test if it's working.... Go to the program that you need the microphone for and check if it works :-P Haha, I'm sure there's a better way to test that, so wait for somebody else to post :-) |
