Answer» I have a bit of a random issue I have a user who's account keeps locking I have pin pointed it to his own laptop but cant figure out what the cause is.
I have tried clearing internet history, google chrome history and saved passwords.
Removed password from the user account and manage credentials, removed NETWORK drives and mapped them BACK. I have looked for services running that could be run with other credentials.
The pc is windows 7 pro and the issue started once the users changed password. I have tried starting the pc off the network and putting it on the network once logged on but again is locking the account and showing the password entered wrong. I started the computer in safe mode and the account never locked as soon as I booted back the account locked right AWAY.
Also checked wireless profiles and removed
Does anyone have any ideas could there be a service running that is causing it? I have the user on another computer and the account never locked out while on this computer and on the domain controller is showing locking from his computer? What protection apps are on both the User's PC and the server ? ?It's trend that is used as anti virus but I would have thought had it been this it would of happened on the other laptop as well.
I think it could be service running the other THING I am going to try is just creating a new profile and see if it does the same on the pc MIGHT be a bit quicker than going through all the services to find which one it is. New profile on pc worked out would have liked to have found out the service that caused it but the new profile worked out and did not have that much data to moved to the profile. It nay very well have been the User's error...do they have Admin rights ? ?
