That was my first reaction. I went to Amazon and they do have a lot of songs for free. Would Amazon do that if it was not legal?
But I have not checked the others. I will wait for Patio check it out.
I've been buying songs from Amazon for a long time. I only noticed all the free songs in the LAST several months, maybe they have always been there and I just didn't notice them, but they offer a lot of free songs now. It's mostly new groups trying to get noticed.

If it's on Amazon I'm positive it's completely legal for those songs. Other sites, it is hit and miss.Geek-9pm, do you imagine it is necessarily illegal to give stuff away? My daily newspaper gives away DVDs, music CDs, offers free downloads etc. That site you linked to is a page of links to COPYRIGHT free material.
