Answer» When I put the FLOPPY in to read, the computer indicates that it is not formatted and would I like to format it. I reply No because I'll erase all the info on it. Correct Can a floppy have been written on if it was never formatted? It may have been formatted when it was NEW. Most of them are. CHECK in ANOTHER machine. By chance was that info stored with a computer NOT running XP and the computer you are using has XP on it?
