Show that the sum of roots of quadratic equation -x*2 +3x-3 equal to 0is 3

Answer»

Given : quadratic equation -x²+3x-3= 0

To FIND : Show that SUM of the roots of quadratic equation is 3

Solution:

quadratic equation  ax² + BX + c = 0

sum of roots = -b/a

quadratic equation -x²+3x-3= 0

=> a = - 1

  b = 3

c = 3

sum of roots = -b/a

= - 3/(-1)

= 3

hence sum of roots is 3
