Answer» The provision of RIGHT TO WORK was added to the Indian Constitution upon implementation of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act of 2005 (MGNREGA-2005). Initiated in about 625 districts across India, this act ensures 100 days of guaranteed employment to those people in rural areas who are able but are in need for work. If the government fails in providing employment, then it should give unemployment allowances.
