Therefore, indiscriminate exploitation and overutilisation would lead to their scarcity.2) RESOURCES ARE IMPORTANT FOR DEVELOPMENTAL ACTIVITIES = Sectors like AGRICULTURE and INDUSTRY which are considered to be the BACKBONE of Indian GDP depend directly on resources for their survival. Certain non renewable resources like FOSSIL FUELS are important for the country\'s development.3) LARGE SCALE DEPENDENCE ON RESOURCES = A significantly large portion of the Indian population depend directly or indirectly on resources on their survival. Non renewable resources like FOSSIL FUELS are used by humans in day to day activities. Certain resources like food, water and shelter are required not only for present but also for future generations.
