Answer» (a) Aunt Jennifer's hands are 'terrified' as they still bear the cruel burdens of not so happy wedded life. (b) Aunt Jennifer didn't seem to have led a pleasant married life. The hard and bitter experiences of her married life lie heavy on her. (c) Aunt Jennifer's tigers provide a striking contrast. The old lady is weak and can't even move her terrified 'fingers'.
