Ans :- Equatorial regions are found 5–10° north and south lattitudes of the equator and these regions are characterised by high temperature, high humidity and extremely high rainfall. There are no distinct seasons as a result of which climatic conditions remain more or less the same throughout the year.

These regions are characterised by the presence of a thick population of evergreen trees along with a diverse population of fauna.

Some regions that fall in the equatorial regions include:

Niger basin
