In a charge free region, field lines are continuous curve existing up to infinity.vii) Electric field lines cannot form closed loops.viii) Electric field lines can never enter a METAL body.ix) Electric field lines try to contract longitudinally i.e. lengthwise which can explain attraction between two unlike charges.x) Electric field lines exert lateral pressure on each other which can explain repulsion between two like charges.
