Answer» Material required for making soap(1) Vegetable oil like castor oil cottonseed oil soyabean oil (2) Sodium hydroxide ( caustic soda )(3)Sodium chloride (commonsalt )Procedure(1) Take abour 20ml of castor oil in abeaker(2) add30ml of20% sodium hydroxidesolution in lt.(3) Heat the mixture with constant stirring till pastecof soap is formed .(4) The add 5to 6 grams of common salt .(5) Stir the mixture well and allow it to cool .on cooling the solution ,solid soap separats our.(6)When the soap sets itvcan be cut into pieces called "soap bars"(we can also add perfumes before the soap sets) Mix coconut oil with causticSoda |
