and other digit be y

x + y = 8

10y + x -( 10x + y) = 18

-9x + 9y = 18

-x + y = 2

equating both equations,

x + y = 8

-x + y = 2

the -x and x get cancelled

so, y + y= 8 + 2(the + symbol is USED, since both x were of DIFFERENT SIGNS)

2y = 10

y= 5

x + y = 8

x + 5 = 8

x= 8-5 => x= 3

so, x = 3

and y = 5

also, 53 -35 = 18

3 + 5 = 8

so, answer is option c)
