6x^2+7x+2

We need to break the middle term in such a way so that on ADDING or SUBTRACTING the numbers they GIVES 7 and on multiplication they GIVE 12.

So, starting from 1 we will find pairs which on multiplication gives 12.

1 × 12 = 12    BUT   1 + 12 or 1 - 12 is not EQUAL to 7.

2 × 6 = 12    BUT   2 + 12 or 2 - 12 is not equal to 7.

3 × 4 = 12    AND   3 + 4 = 7.

Hence, pairs are 3x and 4x.

6x^2+3x+4x+2=0\\3x(2x+1)+2(2x+1)=0\\(3x+2)(2x+1)=0\\x = -2/3 \\or \\x=-1/2
