= > \frac{1 + \sqrt{2}}{-1}


= > -1 - \sqrt{2}


Now,


= > x - \frac{1}{x} = 1 - \sqrt{2} - (-1 - \sqrt{2})


= > 2.


Therefore,


= > (x - 1/x)^3 = (2)^3


= 8.
