Question:Describe the different sections in a library.⇒ Answer:The different sections of a library are classified on basis of their genre, their type etc. The basic classification is the division into adults section and CHILDREN's section. The broader sections are given below:→ Stack section:This section has no special characteristics. The rooms in which the books are stacked are known as stack section.→ Reading room:Certain periodicals, rare books etc. cannot be borrowed and can only be read in the library premises. The reading room is where members can read such books. → Periodical section:Contains rare books, magazines and periodicals.→ Catalogue room:Section where the library catalogue in both hard copy and digitalized version are kept.→ The E Section:Contains CDs, cassettes, E-journals etc. basically for electronic content.→ Camp section:This section is not always active. It is exclusively for reading weeks, summer camps etc. for both children and adults.→ BACK Volume section:Usually located close to the periodical section, they contain old back volumes of specific newspapers, magazines, copies of ARCHIVED DOCUMENTS etc.→ Uni-science section:Contains books related to science, science journals, university catalogues etc.→ Membership section:For members to start or withdraw their membership.→ Circulation section:To TAKE or give back borrowed books.→ Administration wing: Looks after the management, recruitment, buying books etc. of the complete library.
