then ,

= x+x+1=13

= 2x+1 = 13

2x= 13-1

2x= 12

x=12/2 = 6 .

2nd no. = x+1 = 6+1=7 .

b) 99 + 100 = 199 .

2x+1 = 199

2x= 199-1

2x = 198

x = 198/2 .

x = 99. (1st no. )

x+1 = 99+1=100 .(2nd no )
