Mention the role of microorgunism like bacteri and fungi in the ecosystem

Answer» Microorganisms such as bacteria and algae are considered to be natural cleansing agents as they decompose various biodegradable wastes into simpler substances. When any organism dies, it is eventually eaten by detrivores (like vultures, worms and crabs) and broken down by decomposers, mostly bacteria and fungi. These microorganisms break down the dead remains and waste products of plants and animals. They are the decomposers as they break-down the complex organic substances into simple inorganic substances that go into the soil and release nutrients for recycling in to the food chain.
