The\xa0protagonist\xa0of a story is sometimes called the\xa0main character. The\xa0protagonist\xa0of a story is opposed by an antagonist.\xa0The\xa0protagonist\xa0is the "hero" of their story, but they do not have to be the "good\xa0guy" per se.
